"You look in the mirror, you can barely reach the counter. You look different than before, less like you. But it’s still you...I’m still here.”

Unrequited Harmony is an emotionally powerful narrative-driven game that explores the psychological and emotional impact of childhood abuse, centred around a five-year-old girl named Lainey. The game uses a symbolic music box, a gift from her abusive mother, to represent the intersection of innocence and trauma as you collect and repair its broken pieces. Through this evocative metaphor, the game invites players to experience Lainey’s journey between childhood and adulthood, as she confronts the haunting memories embedded in the broken pieces of the music box.
